All descriptions written by Chuck Wyatt

Chuck had between three and four hundred varieties but these should be of particular interest to most home gardeners. Chuck's seeds have been naturally fermentation processed to ward off diseases.

Amish Paste - ( 70 days ) Huge for this type of tomato! Averages five ounces but many to a half pound. Great canner or paste type.
Anna Russian - (65 days) Ind. wispy, reg. Fol.3" heart shaped, superbly flavored fruit. From Brenda Hillenius, whose Grandfather rec'd. seeds said to have been smuggled into this country by a Russian Immigrant years ago.
Aunt Ruby's German Green - ( 75-85 days ) Huge, vigorous indeterminate plant, with regular foliage and 12-18 ounce, light green, beefsteak type fruit; pulp is light green with bright "lime jello green" gel. Excellent flavor and texture, good slicer, or for salads. Blossom end develops a slight amber-pink tinge when ripe. THE OUTSTANDING GREEN VARIETY. If you have never tried a tomato that stays green when ripe, you should try this one. This is the biggest surprise Chuck had ever experienced in tomatoes.
Box Car Willie - (75 Days) Indet reg leaf - This beautiful, perfectly globed med/large tomato was named after the King of the Hoboes. A super ‘mater and a great "first heirloom" for a novice.
Druzba - (75-85 days) Large. ind. reg. fol. Very heavy set of perfect red ½ to 1 lb. fruit, great flavor.  .This is a good long season "workhorse" of a tomato.
Eva Purple Ball - (60-70 days) Vigorous ind. Reg Fol. with 6-8 oz. pink-purple globes which tend to drop from vine when ripe. Juicy, sweet, delicious, and unique. There are those who say this is the most beautiful tomato of all.  German Heirloom.
Homestead-24 F - (80 days) Semi- det Reg leaf main crop variety that is an excellent producer in hot weather. Sets excellently flavored med / large pink globes when others fail. A very dependable and highly regarded variety.
Magnum Beefsteak - The best beefsteak Chuck had ever eaten. Chuck found this as a volunteer in a garden in 1973 and it is now fully stabilized. This is a huge, well shapen beefsteak in the one pound range with a super set of superbly flavored fruit, weighing up to about a pound and a half. If you are only going to grow only one big'un this might be your best bet.
Manyel - (75 days) Indet. reg. leaf. Large. very tall, good cover, reg. fol. heavy set of 6 oz clear yellow fruit, superb taste with a hint of lemon to it. Of American Indian origin. Its name means "Many Moons" in Indian dialect. Another of my few yellow favorites.
Red Robin - (90 days from seed) tiny, dwarf variety 8-10" tall, ½" globes. Excellent taste, continues to bear over a long season. Grows well in 6½" azalea pots. Very decorative and a good salad tomato. Tastes great even when grown under glass.
Stupice - (58 days) The first ripe ‘mater for me every year. Tall, spindly, scrawny looking potato leaf plant with very heavy set of 2-4 oz. deep globes, tends toward yellow shoulders late in the season, great flavor. Great for eating out of hand by old people without making a mess. This is a real garden mainstay. From the Czech Republic.
Super Sioux - (70 80 days) Indet. reg. leaf. Very attractive red 4-6 oz globes with excellent flavor. Does very well in extremely hot weather. Outstanding in Baltimore County!
